When life feels painful, confusing, or challenging, talking with a therapist can help. The therapeutic process increases your capacity for self-reflection, amplifies your self-understanding, and facilitates positive changes in your life. Most importantly, counselling and psychotherapy helps you become self-aware and then, from awareness you choose the right action for your life and over all well being.

The Two Wolves is a Cherokee Indian legend and illustrates the most important battle of our lives – the one between our positive and negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Here is how the story goes:

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied,
“The one you feed.”

In a warm and encouraging manner, I help clients conquer barriers that prevent them from living their life to the fullest. Using a collaborative approach, I will work with you to identify what is holding you back and explore different ways of managing troublesome thoughts and feelings.

I utilize a wide range of techniques and theories to help clients reach their goals. I work with clients’ natural ways of growing, and help them understand and improve how they think, feel, and act.

A strength I bring to my practice is availability to identify and communicate the theme running through the difficulty in a way that allows the client to grasp, and then work on it.
Clients get the most out of working with me when curiosity, motivation to understand them-self and willingness to change trumps the comfort and familiarity of being stuck in old ways that don’t serve them anymore.

I look forward to the privilege of working with you,
